Based on the Solunar Theory (John Alden Knight): fish and wildlife tend to feed more during the periods when the moon is overhead or underfoot (major) and at moonrise/moonset (minor). The score considers the lunar phase and the crossing of major periods with the local high tide.

📘 About Hayes Tide Forecast

Situated along the coastline of United States (29.93° N, 92.82° W), Hayes lies in the northern hemisphere. Its tidal pattern is diurnal (one high and one low tide per day), with a mean tidal range of 0.4m and spring tides reaching up to 0.5m. Beaches here have very narrow intertidal zones, with only a few metres between high and low water marks. The diurnal pattern is relatively rare worldwide, occurring mainly along Gulf of Mexico coasts, northern Australia, and parts of Southeast Asia. Its geographic position creates unique interactions between oceanic swell and local tidal currents. Track tidal behavior at Hayes throughout 2026 using our comprehensive table with daily high and low water timestamps. In September, Hayes is in its autumn season, a key period for water sports, fishing, diving, and coastal navigation. Astronomical tables for this site are processed using tidal harmonic algorithms and adjusted for regional bathymetry.
